CHARITY TOY RIDE

The Salvos South West Charity Toy Ride is the LARGEST and LONGEST Charity Toy Ride in Australia's South West!

Started back in 2001 by Brain Macauley who at the time was the Officer In Charge at the Busselton Police Station, on the Second Weekend in December, HUNDREDS of motorcyclists descend on Western Australia's South West to participate in the Annual South West Charity Motorcycle Ride.

This event has changed hands over the years serval times and is now hosted by Motorcycle Social Club Capel Riders Inc.

The ride aims to raise awareness & donations for Children and families in need during the Christmas period, with thousands of dollars raised each year and a van full of toys! 100% of what we raise is donated to the Salvos Christmas Appeal which is then donated to the local community as needed.

This event also generates a sizeable amount of revenue for local businesses in each of the towns we travel through!
Kicking off in CAPEL with the 'Warm Up Event' on Saturday, riding down to Augusta for a fundraising evening and then the
main event on the Sunday

Augusta - Margaret River - Dunsborough & Busselton!

The Charity Motorcycle ride is held on the Second weekend in December, rain, hail or shine with ALL ROAD LEGAL motorcycles WELCOME!

Raffles & Auctions are conducted throughout the event, the Lions Club organizes a BIG BREAKFAST in Augusta and a Sausage Sizzle Lunch in Busselton for motorcyclists & onlookers at a very reasonable cost, thereby raising further funds!

In 2022 & 2023 The Capel Riders Motorcycle Social Club stepped in to play a big part in the Toy Ride and in 2024 they took the reins on the event, while not changing anything major as this event works well as it is, the Capel Riders would love to see this event grow even bigger & better to raise even more money & donations for local children & families in South West WA!
