Each year the Busselton Black Dog Ride requires volunteer traffic Marshalls to help with the smooth running of the event - no experience necessary.
Traffic Marshalls when directed head off in front of the main event to nominated intersections and when the ride is approaching, if safe to do so, they safely stop traffic on intersections and roundabouts to allow the ride to pass as one large group through Busselton.
Once all the bikes have gone by, you simply tag onto the back of the ride and join in as normal - or if you are not riding a motorcycle, you simply go your own way & your good deed is done for the day.
If you are able to volunteer it is much appreciated, as without volunteers this event would struggle to go ahead as planned. This is also a great experience for volunteers and the best opportunity (if safe to do so) to get some great video & photo footage of the main ride cruising through Busselton as a large group!
When you arrive at the Black Dog Ride, we ask that all volunteers that are riding a motorcycle park their bikes outside the front of the main gate, this insures you do not get stuck in the compound with the rest of the motorcycles - all volunteers will meet on the day at 8am outside of the main gate for a briefing on what is involved - you will also receive an email prior to the BDR with information regarding your intersection.
A BIG THANK YOU!! To all of our Volunteers
